The medieval, university town famous for the romance of Prince William and Kate offers excellent shopping, art galleries, restaurants and museums. Enjoy leisurely, short walks to the centre. Visit the world famous cathedral ruins, climb St Rule’s Tower, explore the castle imagining the battles and siege of years gone by before sitting down for a coffee or whisky in one of the many cafés and pubs. Immortalised in the film Chariots of Fire, the West Sands provides stunning views and lots of sandcastle building opportunities. The East Sands is nearby and there is a heated indoor swimming pool next to the beach. There is an abundance of indoor and outdoor activities and it is easy to create a busy, fun-filled vacation.
