Description

Situated in the small village of Cairnryan on the eastern shore of Loch Ryan, this charming detached holiday cottage was originally the police station and cells for the village, and some of the features are still present in the cottage today. It has been renovated with a wood burner, a contemporary kitchen and bathroom. A particularly attractive feature is the raised decking area to the rear of the cottage, boasting stunning views over Loch Ryan.
Ardarth is ideally located to explore the south west of Scotland. The area boasts rugged coastlines and secluded sandy beaches, which benefit from the warmth of the passing Gulf Stream and by breathtaking scenery. There are many beautiful gardens to explore, including the world-renowned Logan Botanical Gardens. The area boasts many pretty little ports like Sandhead, Portpatrick and the RSPB Scotland Mull of Galloway nature reserve, where thousands of sea birds nest in the cliff face during the spring and summer. The Galloway Forest offers exceptional walking and cycling, and boasting its designation as the first Dark Sky Park outside the USA. If you prefer shooting or golf, there are many facilities nearby. With the ferry terminal almost on your doorstep, a day trip to Ireland is a must. Stranraer offers a wide range of shops, pubs and restaurants. Check availabilty and book this accommodation
