There are many woodland and forest walks within easy reach, as well as a path up Mount Snowdon and Beddgelert Forest on the doorstep. The village overlooks the lakes of Llyn y Gadair and Llyn Cwelly. The summit of the Welsh Highland Steam Railway line is just by the entrance to the farm on its journey from Caernarfon to Beddgelert and Porthmadog, and the station at Rhyd Ddu is just a mile away. Pretty Beddgelert is 2½ miles away and offers riverside walks and a selection of good restaurants and cafes. Shop 4 miles, pub and restaurant 1 mile.
